IBS can be anything from mildly annoying to downright painful, and if left unchecked, it can turn into a long-term problem. But here’s the deal—many people don’t realize that pooping just two or three times a week is NOT normal.👎🤦🏻♀️Everyone should be going daily! 🤷🏽♀️
When you don’t, toxins build up in your intestines, sneaking into your body and potentially causing a whole host of issues beyond IBS.👩🏻⚕️Some common side effects of poor digestion include diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, fatigue, weight gain, migraines, mood swings, sleep problems, skin issues, and even anemia.
Since everyone’s genetic makeup is unique, the same habits might lead to different health problems in different people. To keep things flowing smoothly, drink half of your body weight in ounces of water every day. Make it easy on yourself by prepping your water for the day in the morning so you’re not scrambling later.
Fun ways to stay hydrated:
Plain water (classic!)
Lemon water (hello, alkaline boost!)
Caffeine-free teas
Infused water with real fruit
Water-packed fruits and veggies (oranges, watermelon, cucumbers, pineapple, tomatoes, melons, etc.)
